We are really excited about a new restaurant that has opened on Salt Spring. The Gathering is a community oriented cafe/restaurant whose main attraction is being a hub for board gaming! The idea is simple: come with your family, a group of friends, or just come by yourself, select one of the many many board games available, and pull up a chair and start playing! There are drinks, snacks, and also full dinners offered. This really reminded us of our time living in Toronto, where we used to frequent a similar establishment, called Snakes and Lattes, which was always a great time. Another bonus is that the two guys who have started the business are really committed to local economic development, and will be accepting Salt Spring Dollars as payment, which makes us even bigger fans. Congratulations to the guys at the Gathering for opening this great addition to the nightlife in Ganges.
