Lavender is in Bloom on Salt Spring Island throughout July and August
This past weekend Sacred Mountain Lavender hosted a beautiful festival celebrating the lavender bloom on Salt Spring Island. This is the perfect time of year to visit the lavender farm, and our tours give guests a chance to see these spectacular fields of organic lavender. At this time of year these gorgeous flower are in bloom and the fields are full of deep rich purple lavender flowers. This studio is a must see attraction on the island, especially throughout July and August. The tasteful studio farm shop offers a lovely French country charm, and sells a variety of handmade lavender products including fresh cut lavender, dried lavender, soaps, pot-pourri, herbs de Provence, lavender based essential oils, and lavender cuisine including chocolates. Guests can enjoy a lovely walk amid fields and fields of lavender while enjoying the scent of this soothing flower and the fresh mountain air. This studio offers a small piece of heaven nestled on the foothills of sacred Mount Tuam on Salt Spring Island B.C. The owners, Jacqueline and Ben Sutton, have carefully place benches and chairs throughout the 35 acer property, where visitors can sit back and enjoy the breathtaking view of lavender in bloom. At this time of year, the fields are also full of honey bees and mountain butterflies, offering a perfect setting for sitting peacefully and watching mother nature at work. Ben and Jacqueline Sutton invite you to explore the farm, experience the scents, the symphony of bees in summer, the drying room, the distillation area and view over 60 varieties of lavender.
